BG Police Blotters Will Continue

Buffalo Grove's crime prevention unit will still disseminate daily police blotters, at least for now.

Buffalo Grove’s witty police blotter scribe is no longer at the keyboard, but the blotter will continue, the department said Wednesday.

“The Crime Prevention Unit will continue to send out the Police Blotter,” stated a message at the bottom of the Jan. 2 blotter. The note was in response to questions from readers who wondered whether the blotter would continue to be published.

Pete Lippert, who has written the reports for more than five years, sometimes with a humorous tone, retired Dec. 31 after budget cuts eliminated his part-time position.

Lippert’s partner, Crime Prevention Officer Paul Jamil, said Wednesday that the department will continue to post police reports.

“As of now, the Police Blotter will continue mostly as we all know it,” he wrote in an email to Patch. “There may be some modifications in the future. The Crime Prevention Unit will continue to send it out on a daily basis. There may be days where it doesn't get sent out each day and in those situations, we will try and put a couple days into one.”

Patch will continue posting police blotter items as the department makes them available. Here’s a link to the most recent reports.

It is an absolute crime the way BG police reports are written. They are so ungodly inaccurate & unjust. They are written in an attempt to make the reports seem henious & humorous at the expense of many innocent, unsuspecting people when many reports are rediculous fabrcations of things like staged vandalism in an attempt to commit insurance fraud. I've watched my neighbor do this for years, raking in thousands of illegal dollars while pointing the finger at innocent kids and neighbors he has had run ins with. The BG pd has enabled this mans crimes without blinking an eye. GET A BLEEPING CLUE.Face it, nobody working in that department has the brains, wit or IQ to ever be a ligit columnist let alone a crime writer so instead if messing with people and making them look 10 times worse than what is necessary, twisting false reports people make out of malice & enabling criminal behavior in hopes of getting a laugh FIRE MORE OF THE SELF CENTERED MALICIOUS JERKS and hire people who went into police work for the RIGHT REASONS...TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY. This department only knows how to bring good people down and enable WACK JOBS they relate to!!
