This evening Buffalo Grove experienced a little of mother natures fury. In a fundamentally sound move Buffalo Grove Days activities were suspended for about an hour.
These photo's were captured before the rains came. I took cover when the "Cat's and Dog's" looked like they were ready to drop. It rained in sheets shoirtly after I ran for cover.
Oh, I noticed one other thing that sent me calling my neighbor across the street... a loud jet engine or train sound... a constant dull roar approaching from the North. This is a typical sound reported by folks prior to tornado events. Gladly in our case it was ferocious winds...probably aloft and not at ground level.
