Peter Hill Will Help Represent Team Illinois at 2014 Special Olympics USA Games

Peter Hill of Lincolnshire will help represent Team Illinois at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games which take place June 14-21 at various locations around Princeton, N.J. This is only the third USA Games in Special Olympics history.

Peter will be competing in the 800M Run, Long Jump and 4x100M Relay. He also competed in the Area 13 Spring Games this past weekend at Lake Zurich High School. 

This is Peter’s 25th year with Special Olympics Illinois. In addition to athletics, he takes part in basketball, bowling and softball.

On his experience with the organization, Peter says, “Special Olympics makes me feel happy to win so many medals. Sports makes me feel healthy.” He also enjoys getting together with his friends through Special Olympics.

3 other athletes from Area 13 are also competing at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games. Alex Dmytrenko of Gurnee will compete in aquatics, Brent Kampert of Crystal Lake will compete in athletics and Jason Coy of Wildwood will compete in volleyball.
