Been out of circulation for a few days (tending to my wife's surgery) She's fine and so is the Stevenson Patriots playoff run. I've had them getting this far including the last couple of upsets however I had their run ending this weekend. Surprised that they now have home field advantage, I'm having second thoughts... So I will continue with my predictions.
So far I had them 28-17 against LZ-final score 23-17. Called a perfect final score 35-7 vs SCE. 24-21 vs GN-final score 20-16. 28-7 vs BHS final score 14-0 and now against higher ranked Loyola. Back in August both Stevenson and Loyola both got the same number of votes by a statewide panel of journalist and coaches as #1. Here goes:
I'm going way out on a limb and taking nothing away from a skilled offense, saying the defense will play the "game of their lives"! Most experts are calling for an ugly end to Stevenson's dream season. I believe the true spirit of what Stevenson HS represents- will all come into play. Loyalty, honor and tradition-nurtured by adversity and destined to Greatness!
