it's a beautiful day ...

So last night I am watching Antiques Roadshow from Miami Beach and a woman is describing her little mobile that she kept hanging outside. It looks like a couple of primary colored hangers that are twisted.

She's kind of leaning against a partition when the appraiser tells her it's an Alexander Calder piece.and then her knees buckle as she's told it's value. Upwards to a million dollars!

Well I have my lucky rock, plucked from Lake Michigan, that I've been informed is from the Ice Age, about a billion years old. This unique, one of a kind find is called unikite with the mineral epidote etched in a natural forming heart shape.

How do you place a value on something with no comparison? I know which object you would prefer to own. Me, I'm not trading!

So the question today, is what is beautiful? Is it always something that has a monetary value or is it something that illicit s an emotional impact for you? I'll let you be the judge but bear in mind, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
