Sente Staying Strong on Education; Holding Dialogue on Needs of Schools with Local Superintendents

Vernon Hills, Ill. –State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, met with area superintendents to learn more about the issues affecting Illinois schools on Thursday morning.

“I appreciated our discussion focused not only on identifying the needs of our local school districts, but also on the innovative new programs being implemented to give our students a competitive edge,” Sente said. “Holding regular meetings with our district’s superintendents is important to me, as it allows me to pinpoint new ways in which we can ensure Illinois children have every opportunity to succeed.”

Sente meets semi-annually with superintendents to discuss issues of importance to the education community. To further the conversation, Sente will be hosting an Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the library of Vernon Hills High School for all members of the community to share their thoughts relating to education.

For more information, please contact Sente’s full-time constituent service office at (847) 478-9909, or email RepSente@gmail.com.
