Sente Reminds Residents About Upcoming Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day Event

Vernon Hills, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is co-hosting a Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day in efforts to continue connecting constituents with helpful services during the non-session months.

“Our annual Electronics Recycling and Shred Day events, are a fun, free way for residents to do some cleaning while responsibly disposing of old electronics or confidential documents,” Sente said. “It is important that our government and businesses regularly work together through events such as this, as it allows us to address the diverse needs of our community.”

On the morning of Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sente will be co-sponsoring a Recycle-O-Rama and Shred Day with the Vernon Hills Park District, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO), AT&T, and Westfield Hawthorn Mall. Residents are encouraged to stop by the mall to take advantage of this free opportunity for eco-friendly electronics recycling and confidential document shredding. This is a drive-through event, where volunteers will remove items to be recycled or shredded on-site from participants’ cars.
