Sente Named Small Business Legislative Advocate of the Year

Vernon Hills, Ill. – State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, was presented with the Small Business Legislative Advocate award by the Illinois Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) at their Annual Advocacy Dinner & Awards Ceremony Wednesday night.

“As a former small business owner, I am both humbled and honored to receive this recognition,” Sente said. “I look forward to continued collaborations with Illinois businesses through my role as Chairperson of the House Business Growth & Incentives Committee, as well as by advocating on behalf of legislation that aims to attract, retain, and grow the operations for businesses of all sizes and types.”

Blanca Campos, Advocacy Director for the SBAC shared that Sente’s receipt of the award comes in response to her outstanding support for their organization’s mission and her status as a true champion for small business in Springfield. This year marked the first time that this prestigious recognition was awarded by the SBAC.
