Sente Announces Business Owners’ Roundtable

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, announced that she will be co-hosting a free Business Owners’ Roundtable on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Lake County Partners’ Office Building located 200 Tri-State International Drive in Lincolnshire.

“As Chair of the Business Growth and Incentives Committee, my goal is to ease the frustration Illinois’ businesses are facing as a result of uncoordinated tax breaks, and to strengthen our efforts to support businesses,” Sente said. “I am hopeful that this event will allow us to discuss innovative new ways in which we can not only encourage commercial investment and expansion in Illinois, but also create and retain jobs.”

Sente’s event is co-sponsored by Lake County Partners and features special guest speaker, Illinois Chamber of Commerce President Doug Whitley. After a brief networking session, attendees will hear a presentation from President Whitley on the current business climate in Illinois. Sente invites business owners and managers to discuss the state issues of concern to their business, as well as possible legislative solutions.
