SPRINGFIELD, IL – On Wednesday, State Representative Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) took part in University of Illinois’ Day at the Capitol.

“It was a wonderful surprise to see University of Illinois students and alumni visiting their legislators at the Capitol this week,” Sente said. “I had the privilege of meeting two of my constituents who attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I brought them onto the House floor, briefly explained my role as a state representative, and shared stories and updates on legislation that impacts students.”

The University of Illinois’ Day at the Capitol is an annual event between the University of Illinois Alumni Association and student organizations from the three campuses. Over 200 students and alumni visited the Capitol and spoke with state representatives and state senators about ideas for legislation.
