Sente Hosting Drawing Contest to Celebrate Earth Day and Youth Art Month

State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) announced that her office will be hosting a youth drawing contest from March 1st through April 19th.

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL – State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) announced that her office will be hosting a youth drawing contest from March 1st through April 19th to celebrate March’s Youth Art Month and April’s Earth Day.

“Embracing the creativity of our youth and recognizing their gifts is important,” Sente said. “I am hopeful that this friendly competition will not only serve as a catalyst to encourage our children’s artistic endeavors, but also as an opportunity for them to learn about the meaning of Earth Day and protecting our environment.”

All of the drawings received will be displayed in Sente’s district office, decorating the walls throughout the month. On Earth Day (April 22nd), Sente’s office will choose a winning drawing to be permanently framed in her office and announced in her E-News that week.
