Services Scheduled for Jerry Floss

Holocaust survivor will be remembered at a service Wednesday in Buffalo Grove.

Services have been scheduled for Jerome “Jerry” Kurt Floss of Prairie View. He was a Holocaust survivor born 1943 in Theresienstadt, a Nazi concentration camp in Czechoslovakia, where he spent the first years of his life.

Floss was the beloved husband of Shari (nee Pauly) for 41 years; loving father of Scott (Michelle), Denise, and David (Erin) Floss; proud grandfather of Leaha, Ashley, Heather, Sophia, Lillian and Marah; caring brother of Marilyn Floss-Smith and the late Robin (Stewart Becker) Floss-Becker; cherished son of Clara and the late Eric; and dear uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend of many. He will also be missed by his loyal fur-kids Spock, Hunter and Haley.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at . Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Orphans of the Storm.
