Services Scheduled for Dick Schneider

Services will be held this week for Buffalo Grove resident Dick Schneider, who died suddenly Sunday.

Schneider was the husband of Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lynne Schneider. The chamber announced the news Tuesday “with great sadness.”

He was the father of two sons, Russell and Steven.

Schneider had recently retired from Kraft, according to an obituary in the Daily Herald. He also enjoyed photography and was among three volunteers who documented Buffalo Grove Days this year.

A wake will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling. A celebration of Schneider’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church, 1660 Checker Road, Long Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, according to the Chicago Tribune.
