2012 Egg Hunt Schedule

Hunts will be held March 31 in Wheeling and April 4 and April 7 in Buffalo Grove.

Want to get a jump start on Easter or just enjoy some fresh air and sweets? The Buffalo Grove and Wheeling park districts, which both serve Buffalo Grove residents, have three egg hunts scheduled this year.

  • The Wheeling Park District’s Incredible Egg Scramble begins at 10 a.m. March 31 on ’s new synthetic turf field. Children ages 2 to 6 are invited to participate. Photos with the bunny, games and refreshments will follow. Free and open to the public.
  • The ’s Night Owl Egg Hunt will begin at 8 p.m. April 4 at . Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to bring flashlights and hunt for eggs in the dark. Advance registration is required, and is $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents.
  • The Buffalo Grove Park District’s Bunny Bonanza begins at 10 a.m. April 7 at Willow Stream Park. The hunts are open to children ages 2 to 10, who will join one of three hunts specific to their age groups. Face-painting, games and pictures with the bunny will follow. Free and open to the public.

Participants in any of the hunts should bring their own baskets to collect their findings.
