Stevenson Graduate Makes 2014 Olympics
Buffalo Grove native Megan Bozek will compete on the U.S. hockey team in the Winter Games in Russia this winter.
Megan Bozek, a graduate of Stevenson High School, will represent the United States as a member of the women's ice hockey team in the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Bozek, who will be a defenseman for the team, will be recognized Monday by the Buffalo Grove Village Board.
The 22-year-old attended the University of Minnesota, where she won NCAA titles as a junior and senior, the Chicago Tribune reports.
She grew up in Buffalo Grove and graduated from Stevenson in 2009, according to the Daily Herald.
The Winter Games will take place Feb. 7-23 in Sochi, Russia.
