Back to the Amazing 80's Dance a Thon!

All are invited to travel back in time with Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) and Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF) at the first ever “Back to the Amazing 80’s Dance-a-Thon”.  The event is being held on Saturday, July 16th at the Park Place Family Recreation Center in Streamwood from 5:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.  Registration is required, and the minimum pledge to participate is $25.  Prizes are available for each pledge level achieved thereafter.  To register, please visit www.nwsra.org/fundraising or call 847/392-2848. 

 

NWSRA is an extension of 17 park districts in the northwest suburbs established in 1973, providing outstanding recreational opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. In 2010, NWSRA received over 21,000 registrations in more than 2,000 programs. NWSRA provides special events, trips, leisure education, inclusion services, Special Olympics, Paralympic and Unified Sports opportunities, weekly programs, and much more to its residents.

SLSF is the fundraising arm of NWSRA.  The foundation raises funds through a variety of means to support five focuses of NWSRA programs: accessible transportation, the Kevin T. Kendrigan Memorial Scholarship Program, general program support, inclusion opportunities and Special Olympics, Paralympic and Unified Sports opportunities.
