Aaron Appelbaum's Eagle Project

On June 4th and 5th, Aaron Appelbaum of Buffalo Grove is doing his Eagle Scout Project. He, along with his fellow scouts from Troop 79, his friends, and his family, will be making polar fleece blankets to benefit children with chronic illnesses through Chai Lifeline. Thanks to generous donations from Polartec, Tietex, and A. Lava & Son Co., there is enough fabric and other materials to insure the project's success. The goal is to make 100 blankets.  On June 4, blanket assembly will be from 10am - 4pm at Hope Lutheran Church in Long Grove. On June 5, the project continues from 12pm - 3pm at Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove. Aaron will be a senior at Stevenson High School in the fall and he is looking forward to completing his eagle rank which is the highest rank a boy scout can earn. Any volunteers or donations of polar fleece fabric would be welcomed.
