Buffalo Grove Rotarians Might Quack You Up

The Buffalo Grove Rotary Club's annual duck race is Sept. 2. The location has been changed to the village's municipal campus.

A dried up creek has sent the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club's rubber ducks flocking to an alternative starting line.

Monday's duck race will take place at a makeshift race course at 1:30 p.m. outside the Public Works building, near the Buffalo Grove Days food tent, instead of at the Raupp Bridge.

Rotarians have been selling race entries all weekend at Buffalo Grove Days, catching fest-goers' attention at times by blowing into whistles that make duck noises.

The first three ducks across the finish line will bring their sponsors cash prizes. Fifty other winners will receive Culver's gift cards.
