Buffalo Grove Farmers Market, 951 McHenry Road b/t Buffalo Grove Road and Deerfield Parkway at Mike Rylko Community Park in front of the Spray 'n Play.
The Environmental Action Team will be holding their 2nd annual Buffalo Grove Green Fair adjacent to the market from 8 AM to 12:30 PM with over 20 exhibitors confirmed. They will be collecting bicycles and bicycle parts as well as the following items for reuse, repurpose or recycling:
Small electronics
Eyeglasses and hearing aids
Keys
Crayons
Gently used shoes
Gently used books
Gently used clothing
Household batteries
Light bulbs
Drop off your old bikes and bike parts at the Working Bikes booth.
Drop off used athletic shoes which will be recycled into material for sports surfaces.
Drop off used crayons which will be repurposed into super crayons for children with special needs.
Drop off used clothing which will be processed through I Collect.
Recycle compact fluorescent bulbs, hearing aids, gently used books, and alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
Donate your old yoga mat to be reused or recycled.

Learn about upcycling – the process of converting waste materials into new products rather than filling landfills.
Make a pine cone bird feeder and learn about the Park District’s Dogs in History program.

Entertainment for Sunday, June 30th: Roland Labana, acoustic guitarist of Angry Laughter will perform from 10 to 11:30 AM and Krazy Klown Club will be doing face painting, tattoos and balloon art from 9:30 to 12 Noon.
Farm and vendor offerings include: New vendor, Apple Holler, will be selling fresh baked pies, pastries, rolls, donuts, bread, jams and jellies beginning June 30th, gourmet fresh and dried exotic mushrooms, salsas, barbeque and hot sauces, packaged soups and dips, cookies and cake pops, truffles, safflower oil, balsamic vinegars, brownies, marshmallows, caramels, brittles, granolas, pickles, giardinieras, muffulettas, fresh made donuts, kettle corn, snow cones, fresh squeezed lemonade, honey, maple products, flowers, organic veggies, artisan cheeses, organic butter, veggies, fruit, custom savory chips, coffee beans/fresh cold brewed iced coffee, meats, pork, beef, chicken, bacon, turkey, milk, eggs, jams and jellies, gourmet pastas, cannoli, mustard, heirloom mini veggies, breads/ muffins/cookies/croissants/pastries, dog biscuits and treats and knife sharpening.
Non-profit for June 30th: Buffalo Grove Health Department will be passing out information.
Please bring your non-perishables to help our local food pantries. The collection box is located at the Information Booth and we also accept cash donations for the needy.
