Vernon Area Public Library "Food For Fines" Food Drive

Help diminish hunger and reduce your late book fee fines by donating non-perishable food items to Vernon Area Public Library's Second Annual Food For Fines Food Drive, coming up this September. Move For Hunger and Vernon Area Public Library have teamed up to put together this drive and the library will offer $1 off patrons' late fee fines for every non-perishable food item brought in during the food drive.

In Illinois, 1,957,450 people may be unsure where their next meal will come from - and 692,100 of those people are children. With the help of Von Sydow's Moving & Storage, an agent of Wheaton Van Lines, all donations will be brought to the Vernon Township Food Pantry where those struggling with hunger can gain access to their next meal.  Last year's Food For Fines Drive collected 1,495 pounds of food to benefit those in need!

A huge thank you goes to Vernon Area Public Library, Von Sydow's Moving & Storage and Wheaton Worldwide for working together to help with the hunger relief efforts in North America.
