LUNCH & LEARN-HOT TOPIS FOR ADULTS FOR MARCH 2014

Congregation Beth Judea (Il. Rt. 83 and Hilltop Road, Long Grove, Illinois) presents a series of discussions, led by Rabbi Pivo, during lunch from 12 noon - 1:15p.m. at Sunset Foods in Long Grove, Illinois, at the corner of Rt. 83 and Aptakisic Roads in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.  These discussions take place on Mondays in March on the 10th, 17, 31 and will cover a variety of hot topics for adults.

Jewish law is constantly changing.  How does a Jew know what do?  Since the time of the rabbinic sages, a Jew who had a serious ethical or legal problem would send a written question to a rabbi.  In these discussions we will study a different rabbinic response (teshuvah) each week from the sages in our movement.  Costs of these discussions is free and participants are asked to bring their own lunch.

Questions can be directed to Anna Besser, abesser@bethjudea.org or 847-634-0777.
