“Evening of Strings” to Take Place at Buffalo Grove High School

     Buffalo Grove High School's String Orchestras will showcase their skills
on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in the school’s annual "Evening of
Strings" concert.

     Although the
performance is admission-free for the public, donations will be gratefully
accepted at the door to apply toward private lessons for those students whose
families find the cost prohibitive.

    
According to BGHS Director of Orchestras Elizabeth Bennett, the
evening will feature a wide variety of music, exploring string instruments’ “various
textures and colors” of sound. The Concert, Symphony, and Chamber
Orchestras will be featured in works by various composers, including Grieg,
Nunez, California Guitar Trio, and more.
