Buffalo Grove High School presents "A Night of One Acts" in the school theater Thursday through Saturday, Jan. 24-26.  Thursday's performance is at 7 p.m.; the other two nights have a 7:30 p.m. curtain time.

The production, a series of 10 engaging scenes, is a merging of student-written, company-produced works, with excerpts from Bradley Hayward’s “Sixteen in Ten Minutes or Less."

"A Night of One Acts" is directed by English teacher Lauren Stenzel; the scenic and technical designer is Ed Moon; and house manager, Betsy Ludemann.

Student writers include Dan Esquivel, Mandy Thoenen, and Stefani Lah, who is also the student producer. Student technical directors are Tom Kirsh, Trevor Rogan, and Sarah Wenzel. Assistant student director is Erin Logan.

Cast members are the following: Sam Adelman, Zoey Allan, Milan Babic, Elizabeth Clary, Mia Connery, Dylan Dewitt, Mark Ellis, Dan Esquivel, Cole Festenstein, Robert Hussey, Emilia Kluz, Paige Larkowski, Payton Lira, Jillian Lynch, Kymeisha Perot, Cami Rier, Sage Shemroske, Mandy Thoenen, and Jim Van Der Bosch.

"Our show centers around a subject our cast knows well: teenagers," said director Lauren Stenzel. "We hope to give (our audiences) some insight into how the 21st century teenager
navigates these formidable years by making friends, losing them, and trying so hard to discover how their own voices can resonate amongst all the clutter our culture has a tendency to create."

General admission tickets are $5 and available at the door.  For more information, call (847) 718-4000 during school hours.
