Buffalo Grove's Winter Orchestra Concert Features Senior's Conducting Debut

Buffalo Grove High School will present a Winter Orchestra Concert on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. in the school's Miller Theater.  The program will feature the Concert, Symphony, and Chamber Orchestras, under the direction of Elizabeth Bennett, performing the works of Bartok, Mussorgsky, Dvorak, and more.

Directing the first piece will be senior Tom Kirsh, making his conducting debut in a concert setting.  Kirsh has been studying conducting and rehearsal techniques this year as part of an Independent Study with the BGHS orchestra director.

Dairy Queen Blizzards will be sold after the performance.  The concert is free and open to the public.  For more information, call the orchestra office at (847) 718-4047.
