Buffalo Grove to Present 2nd Annual "The Best of BG: An Evening of Fine Arts"

Buffalo Grove High School is proud to announce it is continuing for a second year the creative arts event, "The Best of BG: An Evening of Fine Arts." The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the school's Miller Theater, and is open to the community.   The school is located at the corner of Dundee and Arlington Heights Roads in Buffalo Grove.

According to Fine & Performing Arts Co-Coordinator Kate Hutchinson, the talent-saturated program "features wonderful students" and showcases a wide spectrum of Fine Arts performers, all in one venue. The students, considered as some of the school's most talented, were nominated by the Fine Arts staff to showcase their individual strengths.  There will be dancers, instrumentalists, vocalists, debaters and actors, visual artists, and more, including soloists and a scene from a recent theatrical production that comprise the two acts of the show -- which will end with a fun holiday number led by IHSA All-State performer, senior Joe Cavaiani.

"The combined artistic talent of our students is unmatched in the region," notes Hutchinson, who is organizing the event.  "Anyone who appreciates the arts, whether it be visual arts, music, dance, drama, or the spoken word, will enjoy this showcase of top talent."
