If any of your answers are "yes," then you need to take advantage of a unique summer camp weekend - July 25-26th, at A.G. Bell Montessori School, 9300 Capitol Drive, Wheeling.  Both children, adults and professionals are welcome.  Child care is even provided.  The price includes materials,   activities, meals and snacks.  The price?  It's just $125/individual, $175/family of 2-3; or $225 for a family of four.  It's the second annual Camp Chi Cue Go, and there's nothing else in the Midwest like it!

"It's a place for students at any level to learn, practice, and brush up on Cued Speech skills," says Debra Trude-Suter, Director at A.G. Bell Montessori-AEHI.  "A place to have fun, support and promote Cued Speech.  And a place to visit with old friends and make new ones."

Cued Speech empowers individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing with a proven international method to access spoken language.  It clarifies all sounds on the lips and enhances lip-reading through a combination of eight hand shapes and four positions around the mouth to represent all consonants and vowels.

The two-day Cued Speech immersion camp features classes at all levels by certified instructors.  Children, adults and professionals learn in a completely supportive environment.  The program includes outstanding guest speakers, fun activities, and socializing.  For professionals, CPDU's will be issued from ISBE upon completion of the two day camp.  Credit hours are also available from RID (Registry for Interpreters of the Deaf).

"Coming to camp to learn Cued Speech will empower parents to communicate in their native spoken language easily and effectively, without regard to the amount of their children's hearing loss," said Sandy Mosetick, Board President and parent of a deaf alumni from AGBMS/AEHI.

A parent from last year said, "This camp really opened my eyes to the importance of Cued Speech for deaf people.  I'm so thankful for this experience."

There are still opportunities for last-minute sponsors to come, and receive promotion not only during camp but on the AGBMS website.  To register, visit:  http://bit.ly/1x2i3Fb.  For more details, contact Karla at karla.giese@agbms.org.

AGBMS-AEHI is a classic Montessori school, where children are given the combined benefits of a challenging Montessori curriculum, that's made fully accessible by Cued Speech.  About 10% of the students are deaf or hard-of hearing, and they work side by side with hearing students, who make up 90% of the student enrollment.  AGBMS has been designated a model site by the American Montessori Society (AMS), with certified AMS teachers.  Many have won national awards for excellence.  (www.agbms.org)
