Gain job skills, ask questions and get interview practice.

State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills), in partnership with College of Lake County and Job Center of Lake County, is hosting a Job Seekers Forum to bring resources and guidance to local unemployed and underemployed citizens. Interested residents are encouraged to attend all or part of the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 13 at College of Lake County Southlake Campus, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.

Attendees will receive assistance on a wide variety of topics relevant to job seekers, including sessions on improving written communication, interviewing, using available resources and starting and maintaining a small business. A panel of employers will be present to answer questions from job seekers, and career service booths will be set up outside the workshop rooms.
