Here is this week's list of suggestions for some fun things to do with your kids this weekend.

Why Go: Bring the whole family for an age-specific egg hunt, for kids ages 2 - 10. Face painting, games and photos with the bunny. Please bring your own basket to collect eggs.

Where/When: Forest View Educational Center, Field House, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd., Arlington Heights; 1 - 3 p.m., Sunday, April 17.

Why Go: Face painting, games, raffles, prizes and more fun activities for the whole family. Help bring awareness to the community and raise funds to support those with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Where/When: , Wheeling; 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, April 15; 9a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16; 12 - 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17.

Why Go: There will be something for every member of your family at this used book sale. Proceeds benefit the library.

Pricing: Free admission

 

Where/When: , Building M Gym, 1200 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, April 16.

Why Go: Watch teams of deaf and hard-of-hearing students from local high schools and area colleges compete on the volleyball court. Snacks and beverages will be for sale.

Pricing: $4 for adults; $3 for students with ID; free for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult

 

Where/When: , 150 E. Wood St., Palatine; 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16; 3 p.m., Sunday, April 17.

Why Go: See one of the most popular and enduring masterpieces created for the musical theater. Experience the unique and exquisite production, Theatre Nebula and Music On Stage theatre companies' first collaboration, that tells the story of the final seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

Pricing: $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, $18 for children if purchased in advance; $22 for adults, $19 for seniors, $20 for children if purchased at the door

Why Go: Visit the newborn lambs and have your child's portrait taken by Jonathan's Portraits. Sitting fee will be donated to Lambs Farm. Call 847-769-0898 for an appointment.

Where/When: , 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake; 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 15.

Why Go: The whole family is invited to see the amazing circus skills of Mr. Fish and Trent the Mime who will prove that science can be both fun and funny. They'll use beach balls, bubbles and boomerangs to demonstrate the principles of friction, inertia, aerodynamics and air pressure.

Where/When: Ryerson Woods Welcome Center, 21950 N. Riverwoods Rd., Riverwoods; 1-4 p.m.; Sunday, April 17.

Why Go: Bring the whole family out to celebrate the arrival of spring and the 41st anniversary of Earth Day with nature walks, crafts, games, sheep herding and sheep shearing.
