Where/When: Congregation Beth Judea, Route 83 & Hilltop Rd., Long Grove; 6 - 9 p.m., Friday, March 4.

Why Go: Celebrate what unifies all Jews: Shabbat. Synagogues across the continent will take part in this historic, national Jewish event. Dinner, interactive prayer service, songs and lively discussions. Fun-filled evening for the entire family.

Pricing: $15 for adults; $7 for children over 8; $5 for children 8 and under; or $38 per family.

Where/When: Jack London Middle School, 1001 W. Dundee Rd., Wheeling; 9 - 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 5.

Why Go: Demonstrations and exhibits on health, nutrition and safety, yoga, District 21 Twain Tumblers, local vendors, raffles and prizes. The House of Speed will present sports performance topics including proper running form at 9:30 a.m. Michael Ventrella from NBC's The Biggest Loser and former Chicago Bear Marcus Robinson will be there!

Where/When: , 1 Stevenson Dr., Lincolnshire; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 5 and 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6.

Why Go: The BG Singers' director Linda Rosen, accompanist Jeannie Workman and choreographer Charla Silver have selected their favorite love songs to be performed during this 18 annual event.

Pricing: $16 for adults; $ 15 for children 12 and under and seniors 62 and over if purchased in advance. $18 for all tickets purchased at the door.

Why Go: Benefit performance for The Dance for Life Fund and The Children's Place Association featuring more than 150 dancers directed by some of Chicago's most prominent choreographers.
