Get Out: Golf, Campfire, Movie and More

Where/When: Cubby Bear North, 21661 N. Milwaukee Ave., Lincolnshire; 8 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.; Friday, September 23.

Why Go: Enjoy live music and take a chance to win some great prizes while supporting a the Countryside Association for People with Disabilities, the 58-year-old agency in northern Cook and Lake Counties that serves more than 650 adults and children. The Mosquitos Jam Band and Ron Cohler from Blood on the Tracks will perform classic rock and contemporary songs at 10 p.m. There will be a 50/50 raffle and prizes from salons, auto detailing shops and Chicago Bears items will be raffled off. Must be 21 or older to attend. Where/When: Greenbelt Forest Preserve in North Chicago; 7 - 9 p.m., Friday, August 19.

Why Go: Enjoy the magic of the campfire, roast marshmallows, listen to music, tell stories, make crafts and more at this family event. Experience nature at night. Enter from the west side of Green Bay Road, south of Belvidere Road, across from the entrance to the Greenbelt Cultural Center. Meet at Shelter D.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Chevy Chase Country Club, 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling; 1:30 p.m.; Saturday, September 24.

Why Go: 14th annual outing to raise funds for the American Brain Tumor Association in memory of Paul Fabbri, star basketball player who died in 1998 from a recurring brain tumor at the age of 31. Proceeds will help fund research for new treatments for people fighting brain tumors today. Play golf, eat lunch, have cocktails and dinner.

Pricing: $125 per person for golf, lunch and dinner. $35 for dinner only.

Where/When: , in front of the Spray 'n Play; 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Sunday, September 25.

Why Go: Shop the great assortment of fresh produce, flowers, meats and cheeses from local farmers and vendors. The farmers market will take place, rain or shine.

Pricing: Free admission.

Where/When: ; 2 p.m., Saturday, September 24.

Why Go: See The Conspirator, rated R, directed by Robert Redford. Free popcorn will be available.

Pricing: Free.
