Where/When: ; 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday, July 1.

Why Go: All-you-can-eat pollock, tartar sauce, rolls with butter, salad, cole slaw and fries for a low price. Reservations not needed.

Where/When: ; 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Friday, July 1.

Why Go: Kids and teens in grades 3 - 10 can participate in Yu-Gi-Oh dueling card games with their friends at the library. Come early as tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program is scheduled to begin.

Where/When: Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 N. Forest Preserve Rd., Wauconda; 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 1 and 2; 1 - 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 3.

Why Go: The Lake County Discovery Museum commemorates the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War with a special exhibition that explores how the American Civil War affected technology and how technology helped the Union win the war. This interactive display will include exhibits on railroads, submarines, ironclad ships and reconnaissance balloons.

Pricing: Free for museum members; $6 for adults; $3 for seniors age 55 and older and students ages 18-25; $2.50 for youth ages 4-17; free for children 3 years and under

Where/When: Viper Alley, 275 Parkway Dr., Lincolnshire; 8:30 - 10 p.m.; Friday, July 1.

Why Go: Hear the rock n' soul band Love in Stockholm perform live at Viper Alley. This Boston-based band has won an award for "Download of the Week" and best music on campus from MTVU. They've gained a reputation for wild live performances after being raised in house parties and dive bars.

Pricing: $10

Where/When: ; 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 3.

Why Go: Shop the great assortment of fresh produce, flowers, meats and cheeses from local farmers and vendors. Entertainment from 10 a.m. to noon. The farmers market will take place, rain or shine, in front of the Spray 'N Play.
