Get Out: Fishing Derby, Music and Movies

Where/When: ; 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday, July 8.

Why Go: All-you-can-eat pollock, tartar sauce, rolls with butter, salad, cole slaw and fries for a low price. Reservations not needed.

Pricing: $9.95 per adult; $7.95 per child

2.

Where/When: ; 1 - 3 p.m., Sunday, July 10.

Why Go: Great fun for the whole family in a nice, cool place. Game booklets will be sold at the door. Funds raised will go to Children's Advocates.

Pricing: $5 per bingo card

Where/When: ; at dark; July 8.

Why Go: Bring some blankets and come out to  the 's 54-acre theatre with a 40-foot screen and surround sound to see The Karate Kid. Open seating is guaranteed. The movie is free! If it rains, the movie will be shown on July 14.

Where/When: Viper Alley, 275 Parkway Dr., Lincolnshire; 8:30 - 10 p.m.; Friday, July 8.

Why Go: He Said She Said plays classic rock from the '80s to today that everybody loves in a free-flowing way. Enjoy the dynamic stage show by these skilled musicians that keeps each performance fresh and new.

Pricing: $5 - $12

Where/When: ; 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 10.

Why Go: Shop the great assortment of fresh produce, flowers, meats and cheeses from local farmers and vendors. Entertainment by the from 10 a.m. to noon. The farmers market will take place, rain or shine, in front of the Spray 'N Play.

Pricing: Free admission

 

6.

Where/When: ; 9 - 11 a.m.; Saturday, July 9.

Why Go: Kids ages 1 - 14 are invited to come out and try to catch a big one. Each child will receive a gift bag and awards will be given for the most fish caught, the longest fish, the most colorful fish and the most unique catch of the day.

Pricing: $8 for residents; $10 for non-residents
