ComEd: Power Will Be Restored By Weekend
ComEd reports electricity to all customers is estimated to be restored by Saturday.
ComEd continues to work feverishly to restore power to homes and business left in the dark after the July 11 storm.
As of 6:30 p.m. July 12, the company has restored power to 599,000 customers. Another 279,000 remain without electricity.
Most of those customers are in the north region, which includes Buffalo Grove, where 161,000 are still without power. As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, 4,800 ComEd customers in Buffalo Grove remained without power, and officials said that many of them are expected to be .

ComEd estimates that 75 percent of customers will have power back by noon on Wednesday. Ninety percent will be restored by noon on Thursday, and 99 percent will have electricity by midday Friday.
