BG Fitness Center Picnic Emphasizes Fun, Fitness

“This is one of the nicest days of the summer, so that works out for us,” John Wierzbicki, assistant facility coordinator, said. “This is a chance for the fitness center to give back to members and to thank them.”

“We’ve been holding the picnic for our members for about eight years,” Liane Faigen, specialty programs manager, said. “There are a lot of great events planned for today. We are offering a new class at the Fitness Center called ‘Drums Alive,’ where participants use resistance balls as drums. As the participants do aerobics, they drum to the beat. We will have Drums Alive classes for adults and children today during the picnic so people can try the class.”
