Wheeling High School Hosts Comedy Night
Wheeling High School is hosting a comedic fundraising event on Saturday, April 26, from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the school’s Sang Theatre. The event, “Fajitas and Greens and all In-Betweens” is a comedy show produced by Mikey O Comedy and comprised of five, diverse, high-quality comics. The comedy club regulars will perform a 90-minute show that promises to keep the audience in stitches.
Proceeds from the event will be split 50/50 to start the Dr. Marilyn Medina-Perez Fund, which will benefit students in need of financial assistance, and to help the Medina-Perez family with its current financial needs. A beloved social worker who once worked at the school, Medina-Perez passed in January after a courageous battle with cancer leaving behind a husband and twin infant sons.
Tickets to the comedy show are $20 for adults and $15 for students. A one-day “flash sale” will be held on April 17, and tickets will be $10 for students only. “Friends of Mari” tickets also are being sold for a minimum suggested price of $30. These tickets include the show and a cupcake reception one hour prior to the event. All tickets can be purchased at the school.
