Prospect to Host 4th Annual St. Baldrick’s Event

Prospect High School will hold its fourth annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser from February 18 through March 14. St. Baldrick’s mission is to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for childhood cancer. There are two phases to Prospect’s fundraiser. In phase one, 7th-hour classes will collect money from February 18 through March 7, and the two classes that raise the most money per student will win pizza parties. During phase two, from March 10-13, St. Baldrick’s t-shirts will be sold for $10 to students and staff, and they will have the option of having their heads shaved by Empire Beauty School students on Friday, March 14. Parents must provide consent before students get their heads shaved. Last year’s campaign raised over $2,500 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. For more information or to make a donation, contact David Jacobson, service learning coordinator, at 847-718-5230 or david.jacobson@d214.org.
