District 214 Students Inducted Into The 2013-14 National Technology Honor Society

     Outstanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) students from Township High School District 214’s six high schools were inducted into the National Technology Honor Society (NTHS) on February 5.

            Established in 1986, the NTHS’s mission is to honor student achievement and leadership in CTE, promote academic excellence, and enhance career opportunities for its members. Over 2,500 schools and colleges throughout the United States maintain NTHS chapters.

     Criteria for membership in NTHS includes 4.5 or better grade point average in CTE coursework, overall GPA of 4.0 or better, good attendance, post secondary plans in a related field, participation in CTE student organizations (DECA--Distributive Education Clubs of America, FCCLA-- Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc., FTA—Future Teachers of America, Robotics, Auto Club, etc.), exemplary personal and professional conduct, exceptional character, and good citizenship.
