Buffalo Grove Hosts 2013 "Volley-for-the-Cure" Match to Support Northwest Community's Mammogram Program

Buffalo Grove High School will host the annual "Volley-for-the-Cure" girls volleyball game on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.  The Bison women will face off against Prospect High School's Lady Knights in a fundraising effort to support Northwest Community Hospital's Gift-A-Mammogram Program, which provides no-cost mammograms and follow-up procedures for women who need this key diagnostic tool, but lack the resources to pay for it. The program is administered by NCH's Breast Center and funded entirely by charitable giving.

Both schools will be selling t-shirts for $10 during lunch periods through the day of the game, as well as raffle tickets.  All proceeds will be applied to the mammogram program. The raffle and silent auction will begin before the 6 p.m. varsity game.  Prizes will include Bulls tickets, an iPad mini, a private Chicago skyline flight, lots of gift certificates to popular restaurants, and many more.  Patrons need not be present to win the raffle prizes.

For more information, email BGHS girls volleyball coach Matt Priban at matthew.priban@d214.org or call the school's main office at (847) 718-4000.
