Buffalo Grove High School Kicks Off the Annual Traveling District 214 Arts Unlimited Photo Show

     The annual Arts Unlimited District 214 Photo Show, a collection of works by the district’s most outstanding student photographers, is wrapping up its display in the Buffalo Grove High School (BGHS) library Friday, March 14.  The exhibit will be on display at the other five high schools through April. 

     The show was judged on March 7 by Elk Grove High School (EGHS) alumnus and former Sun-Times photographer Jon Sall who determined the award winners and honorable mention entries. Those who placed, as well as honorable mention winners, will receive gift cards from Dick Blick art supply store in Schaumburg.

     The award-winners include 1st Place—Caitlyn Schluep, EGHS; 2nd Place—Agnes Kuc, Prospect High School (PHS); and 3rd Place—Alexis Counts, Wheeling High School (WHS).

     Honorable mentions were presented to BGHS—Sophie Glickman, Mark Esquivel, Conrad Weres, Trent Leggs, Patrick Stelmach, Marisa Domian, and Maria Mosiychuk; EGHS—Paige Crenshaw; John Hersey High School—Sean O'Connor, Allison Henreid, and Alex Hawkins; PHS—Richard Futo; and WHS—Austin Biel, Yarely Rodriguez, and Alondra Navarro.

     The exhibit will travel to WHS on March 17 for a week, followed by PHS on March 31, RMHS on April 7, EGHS on April 14, and to its last stop, JHHS, on April 21.
