Wheeling Student Advances to National Competition for Speech

Michael Onyszczak, a junior at Wheeling High School, qualified at Districts for the National

     Michael Onyszczak, a junior at Wheeling High School, qualified at Districts for the National Forensics League (N.F.L.) Tournament in U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking on Saturday, March 2, at Huntley High School.  There were 50 students in Illinois who competed in the U. S. Extemporaneous Speaking category and the state's top 8 students have advanced to Nationals, to be held in Birmingham, Ala. in June. Onyszczak will be among the 230 students to compete there.
