Wheeling Orchesis Selected for 11th Time to Perform in Dance Chicago

Wheeling High School's Orchesis, directed by Diane Rawlinson, has been selected to perform

Wheeling High School's Orchesis, directed by Diane Rawlinson, has been selected to perform in Dance Chicago for the 11th consecutive year.   Two dances will be performed in the Nov. 17th show at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago.

"Fio-Fio Fioletta," choreographed by former River North dancer, Brandon DiCriscio, will be performed by nine Wheeling dancers.   "dopp/DROP," by Lucky Plush dancer Marc Marcaranas, is the first men's trio set on Wheeling's Orchesis members.

Dance Chicago began in 1995 as an audience development project for Chicago dance and drew wide attention from audiences and critics alike. After 12 successful years, the event has become the most important celebration for Chicago's large and diverse dance community in the performing arts year.  Dance Chicago provides the entire Chicago metropolitan area dance organizations a chance to exhibit their best work on a major Chicago stage to large audiences.
