Wheeling High School's Crucial Step Clique Wins Regional and IDTA Competitions

     Wheeling High School's award-winning step team, Crucial Step Clique, won back-to-back trophies on Saturday, Dec. 15, and Sunday, Dec. 16, in two challenging competitions. On Saturday, CSC captured 1st place at the Illinois Stepping League Regional Competition, held at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.  

     The team was also awarded the 1st place championship trophy at the Illinois Drill Team Association's competition on Sunday, held at Rolling Meadows High School. Wheeling senior Jenny Hernandez received the Rising Star Award at the IDTA Competition.

     Tanisha Brewer and her assistant, Lauren Miles, coach the highly acclaimed step team.
