District 214 Board Member Named "Friend of Scholastic Journalism" for 2012 by Journalism Education Association
School Board member William Dussling has been selected as one of five "Friend of Scholastic Journalism" national honorees for 2012.
The Journalism Education Association (JEA) has announced that Township High School District 214 School Board member William Dussling has been selected as one of five "Friend of Scholastic Journalism" national honorees for 2012. Friend of Scholastic Journalism Award recipients are nominated by JEA members for their support, service, financial sponsorship or personal dedication toward the betterment of scholastic journalism. Friends of Scholastic Journalism help strengthen the values of free speech and civic engagement and the resulting empowerment of youth.
Dussling will be honored, along with this year's other JEA Award winners, at an awards luncheon on Nov. 17 during the JEA/National Scholastic Press Association High School Journalism Convention in San Antonio, TX.
