Freshman Cristobal Damian of Wheeling is the Math/Science honoree.  Biology teacher Paige Fullhart said, "An exceptional biology student, Cristobal is currently earning one of the highest grades in his class. He always completes his homework, studies and prepares well for assessments, and asks for additional work to reinforce materials when necessary. Cristobal is also is a positive leader in our class and often completes work before his classmates.  He takes this as his opportunity to help other students on a regular basis.   Unprompted, Cristobal will get out of his seat and take a seat next to a classmate that appears to be struggling with material.  I can honestly say that my class would not run as smoothly without the consistent help he gives.  I feel very fortunate to have such an outstanding student in my class."

Student Services has named junior Amairani Eloisa of Wheeling as Student of the Month.  Individual Resource teacher Kurt Kutska commented, "Amairani is an extremely hard worker, who is participating in an iPad pilot at BG. Amairani takes her job as a student very seriously and uses her iPad to email teachers to stay on top of her work. She has learned many new skills in using her iPad to continue to prepare her for the ACT. She is always on-task in all of her classes and completes her work to the best of her ability."
