Township High School District 214 is proud to present a recital featuring exceptionally talented

Township High School District 214 is proud to present a recital featuring exceptionally talented soloists in the annual District Honors Orchestra Concerto/Aria Competition Finals Recital on Monday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the theater at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd. in Arlington Heights.  Six finalists, representing three of the district's high schools, will compete for the opportunity to perform as a featured soloist with the Honors Orchestra at the school district's Honors Music Festival on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.  The festival will take place at Forest View Educational Center at 7:30 p.m.

At the beginning of the year, District 214’s top music students were given the opportunity to submit a recorded performance of a solo work.  The top competitors from the district were ultimately selected to participate in the upcoming recital competition.

District 214 Honors Orchestra Director, Patrick O’Connor said, "We are excited to have six exceptional students named as finalists this year!  The talent each student presented in their entry recording is a tribute to years of hard work and dedication, the support they receive at home, and the quality of our district’s music programs.  We’re proud of these students, and look forward to the finals competition."
