Boys Ages 6 to 14 Invited to Be a Bison for a Day

    The Buffalo Grove High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team invites all area boys, ages 6-14, to its annual "Be a Bison for a Day" in the BGHS Gym on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2-6 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to spend the day “hanging out” with the varsity team, learning firsthand all about playing basketball at the high school level from the Bison players. 

     The day will include a "shoot-around" with the team; participants will be present in the locker room for a pre-game talk with the coaches and players; everyone will receive a Bison Basketball t-shirt and enjoy a pre-game meal with the team; and all will receive admission to the home varsity game vs. Marmion Academy at 4:30 p.m., where they will shoot on the court at halftime.  Boys interested in basketball should not miss this exciting event!

     The cost for "Be a Bison for a Day" is $40. Please make checks payable to "Buffalo Grove High School" and mail before the Dec. 27 deadline to the attention of Head Varsity Coach Keith Peterson at 1100 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Please indicate the t-shirt size--Youth Small (YS), Youth Medium (YM), Adult Small (AS), Adult Medium (AM)--with the name of the child, parent's name, and parent's cell phone number.

     On the day of the event, parents should drop off their children at the BGHS Gym at 2 p.m. and pick them up there at 6 p.m. Email the coach at keith.peterson@d214.org with any questions.
