Cohen Brother's Judo Club traveled to Albany, New York to compete in the highly respected Morris Cup, hosted by 4x Olympian & Olympic Silver medalist Jason Morris. With only 11 kids competing we managed to take fifth place overall and fourth place in the juniors (ages 5-17) as a team. "I was very impressed with how we did considering we only had 11 athletes competing & when we showed up we noticed other clubs came in groups of 15 or more" head coach RJ Cohen said.
The competition had about 550 athletes competing from around the country including Canada. This is exactly what the kids in the club need. We have some very talented athletes that could one day compete for our country in the Olympic Games. "the sky's the limit" says coach Aaron Cohen. We travel to find and seek the best competition possible.
