A number of residents have contacted Buffalo Grove Patch over the last several days to ask about the new construction site in the parking lot at the northwest corner of Dundee and Buffalo Grove roads.
The recently fenced-off area behind the Mobil gas station in The Plaza shopping center will soon be home to a new Chase Bank. The freestanding bank will offer a drive-thru.
The construction is part of a series of improvements that were approved in 2012 by the Village of Buffalo Grove. Facade improvements have already been completed at the south end of the shopping center, which is anchored by Dominick's.
Parking lot improvements, new landscaping and a new traffic signal at the Buffalo Grove Road entrance to the shopping center are also included in the plans.
