is holding its annual Halloween contest in which customers are invited to guess the weight of a giant pumpkin.
The oversized pumpkin is displayed just inside the store's entrance, and entry forms are at the meat counter.
"This year's pumpkin is really good looking," Dorfler's owner Keith Walger said. The contest draws "piles and piles" of entries each year, he said.
Prizes will be awarded to one child and one adult. The adult winner will receive a $50 store gift card, while the youth winner will get an eight-foot "Halloween stocking" stuffed with toys.
The winners will be named Oct. 31.
