MAX Training Center, a new training and fitness facility led by veteran sports players, will offer free sports and fitness activities during its grand opening event Jan. 22-23.
The Buffalo Grove company provides young athletes with professional training in baseball, basketball and volleyball from professional athletes who are committed to being positive role models in sports and in life.
The MAX, owned by Jim Rebecca and Peter Miramonti, offers programs to help young athletes with speed, agility and plyometrics, designed to maximize athletic quickness, explosiveness and vertical jump.
Instructors include former Chicago Cubs pitcher Bill Campbell and Marcus Robinson, former wide receiver for the Chicago Bears. The MAX also offers small group personal fitness training and boot camps for those wishing to improve their physical fitness and stamina.
Grand opening events will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Activities include family boot camp, baseball tips, speed and agility clinics and open gym time. Visit The Max’s website for a complete activity schedule.
